Claressa Johnson began Archie’s Promise in 2009 as a way to yield dresses giveaway of price to area teens.

“I think we’ve served about 350 to 400 girls and each year the stories just move tears to your eyes,” Johnson told Nashville’s News 2.

According to Johnson, the normal lady pays scarcely $ 900 for losses compared with prom.

“The normal lady pays about $ 893 for the total promenade night. From the hair, the nails, the limousine, the total outfit, the shoes, all [is tighten to $ 900].”

Johnson is now looking donations that will be used after this year for her third annual promenade skirt giveaway which will be hold at Holloway High School.

“For a immature lady to be means to come in and get a skirt and presumably some shoes, it takes that price divided from parents,” Johnson said.

Johnson pronounced she is need of donations for her arriving promenade skirt drive.

Donations can be made at Holiday Cleaners located at 911 Memorial Boulevard, Heritage Cleaners located at 960 North West Broad Street and Holloway High School located at 619 South Avenue.
